I had the absolute pleasure of working with this family yesterday.
This beautiful child is 1.5 years old and full of personality. Once she became comfortable with the location she was off - walking all over and exploring. And once she got those Goldfish, she was even happier.
I get that parents may not want those Goldfish in the photos. However, they will look back on that day with admiration at how happy they made their child. And it will trigger additional memories of "motorcycle" and "car" and "pretty, pretty".
This is what I hope to provide to every family I work with. To help you remember all these moments in time and be able to look at them with admiration and joy.
When it came to Family Portraits we had to be FAST. This little lady was on the move and did not always want to stop for those family moments.
Mom & dad did a great job of getting her attention with leaves or pine needles or with singing her favorite songs. She even had some brief moments with her dog, who waited patiently in the car.
Those special moments with just Mommy or just Daddy were so precious. I had to capture them! It is clear from their interactions that this little girl is well loved and has a special bond with each parent. It was so special to witness and capture these intimate moments.
She didn't want to wear her shoes but was fascinated with dads shoes. And she had to feed both mom and dad and her stuffy. She wasn't going to eat alone!
Once it was clear that we had taken up enough of this little ladies time (she was all done posing for the day), she went to hang with Grandma while I was able to focus on this beautiful couple.
They both were dressed beautifully and seemed effortless with their posing, despite only have one other professional photo shoot at their wedding. They were great sports with my posing directions, even though they felt weird at times (particularly Brian :) ). I promised them the awkward poses would look beautiful on camera - and I hope they will agree!
Thank you so much Shari and Brian for allowing me to capture your family and your love. It was such a great experience from start to photo shoot (can't say finish because we still have images to choose).
I am so appreciative of your willingness to follow my suggestions and style guides when choosing your outfits and overall look. It really helps create timeless images.
Thank you and I hope you enjoyed your time.
